Lyntone School of Dancing

Lyntone dancing is performing on Sunday 14th August at Wythall Carnival.

Dancers are required to wear black bottoms and tops (lyntone t-shirt if you have one) and dance shoes or trainers (we will be dancing on grass). Please meet by the DJ at 2pm. We will be dancing at 2.15pm.

Bring all the family. After you have danced you are free to go and explore the rest of the carnival.

See you there.

Lyntone Dancer Nominated for Award

Congratulations to Elizabeth Cartwright who has been nominated for an IDTA Freestyle Scholarship after her performance at the last medal test. Elizabeth will go the IDTA next Spring to take part in a Master Class. The best six dancers from this class will then progress through to the next round where they will perform a solo routine in front of the panel. The winner will receive a trophy and a grant towards future IDTA examinations.

Well done Elizabeth for being nominated we are all so proud of you and good luck for the next stage. More updates as they come!

Medal Test

Well done to all our dancers for passing your freestyle exams.

Over 200 of you danced your heart outs to achieve some amazing results. Some of you had to dance for a very long time but it was worth it to see your grades, she was a tough examiner!

Medals will be given out to you at the medal presentation on 9th September at Land Rover Social Club. For those of you not coming you will get your medals after this presentation.

Tickets for the medal presentation are selling fast so get yours quick. They are £3.50 for dancers and £4.50 for anyone else. Bring your parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Even Lyn's window cleaner is coming!!

See you there

Summer Dems

Thank you to all the dancers that came to the Wheelers Lane and Coppice Dem and thank you to all the parents that brought you and came to watch. The weather was perfect and loads of people were there to watch. The music was 1000times better at Wheelers Lane this year and we have been promised that the music will be louder at Coppice next year (yes they want us back).

The tiny tots were great hopefully we will have a few more next time. You all danced really well and managed to make the tattoo routine look great even though there were only a few of you.

Our next dem is at Wythall Park so we need to work hard for that one.

Thank you all again I hope you enjoyed it.

Master Class Show 2011

Thank you to everyone that came to support the Master Class show last night. The dancers were amazing as usual and the audience loved them.

We were raising money for the Air Ambulance and managed to raise a massive £900 from ticket sales and the raffle. This was unexpected as the number of dancers performing this year dropped with loads of you doing your Duke of Edinburgh this weekend (we hope that it went well).

Everyone seemed to enjoy the disco after and the dance floor was filled as usual until the end of the night.

Thank you again to everyone involved. Dancers keep up the hard work we have a few dems coming up soon where we will be performing some of these routines, then Tattoo rehearsals start after the medal test!! Wow its nearly that time of year already!
