Lyntone School of Dancing

Shenston House demo 14th April

Today Lyn and Angela and a group of 8 from the Master Class went to Shenston House in Bromsgrove to put on a small display for the residents. The plan was to dance for about 15mins but the group were such a hit that the residents kept demanding more!

The pupils danced to classic songs such as 'Singing in the Rain' and 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' and demonstrated all styles of dance including: street, cha cha, slow, freestlye and jive. The residents also got a preview of a few routines from our 2010 Master Class Show!

Well done Alex, Anthony, Ben, Brady, Emily, Katie, Leah and Rachel.

Lyn wins Carl Alan Award

Congratulations to Lyn on winning the 2010 Carl Alan Freestyle Teachers Award !

This weekend Lyn, Tony, Angela and Lisa made the trip down to London for the Carl Alan Awards. We enjoyed a lovely evening with fine food and wonderful entertainment, then came the awards. Presented by Sam Kane and Linda Lusardi we waited with baited breath until Lyn's category came up. Another contender for this award was also sat at our table. The band played the drum roll, we all had everything crossed and we waited. When he announced that Lyn had won we were over joyed.

Again we just want to say congratulations to Lyn on winning this prestigious award.

This is what was written on the IDTA's website:
